How To Use

1

Vacuum and pile lift carpet thoroughly or sweep flooring before applying HOST cleaner. The more carpet vacuuming you do, the better the results.

2

Apply HOST cleaner to the floor, about one handful size for each square yard (3′ x 3′). Do not apply more than 100 to 200 square feet at a time or the HOST cleaner could dry out and not clean as well. For the HOST Applicator, place HOST cleaner into the applicator and choose light, medium, or heavy setting. Then guide the HOST Applicator over the area to be cleaned. As it rolls, it dispenses the chosen amount of micro-sponges.

3

Work HOST into the soiled area using the suitable HOST equipment or brush, using brushing strokes in a north and south, east and west and then north and south direction. This brushing action distributes the HOST micro-sponges and brings them in contact with the dirty surfaces of what you are cleaning.

4

Remove damp or dry HOST from carpet or hard surface with HOST extractor or conventional vacuum. For hard surfaces one may need to follow up with a damp mop. NOTE: If an area requires more cleaning, repeat steps 2 and 3 or consider pretreating using a mist of PREP® or Spot Remover. Then apply more HOST and clean as before. Depending on the fiber and conditions you are cleaning, you may need to use HOST SJ and Spot Remover as the pre-mist. Refer to the HOST SJ cleaning tips as your guide.
